Color

Color measures how colorless a diamond appears.

The highest-quality white diamonds have little to no visible color and are graded on a scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Diamonds with higher color grades generally appear brighter and are more valuable.

Best for maximum brilliance: D–F (Colorless)

Clarity

Clarity refers to the natural inclusions and blemishes formed during a diamond’s growth.

Most imperfections are microscopic and cannot be seen without magnification. Diamonds with fewer inclusions allow light to pass more freely, enhancing their beauty.

Cut
